The girls had a variety of 100-themed investigation stations including:

• 100 Days Glitter Glasses 
• 100 Days Crowns – Bejeweled with 100 gems! 
• 100 Days Necklace – Using beads in groups of 10 to add to 100  
• 100 Year Old Me Portraits
• How many ways can you make 100 cents and $100? 
• Working together to solve a 100-piece puzzle  
• Construction – Building a 100-cup structure 
• Light Table – Creating a pattern using 100 transparent counters 
• 100 Seconds – What can you do in 100 seconds? Students timed themselves on activities such as how many star jumps can you do? How many times can you write your name? What can you count up to?

Certainly Tay Creggan has been a busy place over the first three weeks of this term; my thanks to Megan Boyd, Katie Harris and the Tay Creggan staff who have worked tirelessly to keep things running smoothly in my absence.

I was extremely fortunate during my travels to stay with ex Strathcona teacher Michelle Holding in Switzerland, where we visited the United Nations in Geneva. (there's a sneaky selfie photo below of the "Spanish" Congress room with its underwater theme) International Studies classes heard about our tour and the magnitude of the UN work and the ex-pat community who work in Geneva and all Year 9s will learn more about its formation in History this term. 

On Tuesday, the first of our Envision businesses pitched their ideas for SEED funding - very successfully! Congratulations to Mr Marshmellow, Cora, Hello Vera and Sugar Rush - can you guess what they will be selling? This year we are moving away from online sales and back to in-person marketplaces, using online for pre-ordering only. You will receive an invitation shortly for the Tay Creggan Envision Market on Friday 1 September from 4.30-6.30pm - we hope that friends and family can join us to support the small business offerings this year.

In Humanities this week, students have been demonstrating their understanding of the Industrial Revolution with creative performances. Teachers Hollie Fields and Savanna Lloyd have been delighted by the diverse responses and the students' use of props and multimedia.

With the sun out, PE teacher Ashlea Mills has had classes out on the court - volleyball and bat tennis under sunny skies on the oval beside the Yarra. It does sound a little surreal!

Hopefully the sun will stay out for the weekend!

Upon arrival, the atmosphere was practically buzzing with excitement; the hall filled with other Year 11 and 12 students. Throughout the day, we engaged in various maths challenges, from puzzles and riddles to complex mathematical problems and competing against another school in Swiss matches. The competition was tough, but it was the kind of challenge that motivated us to think outside the box and apply our mathematical knowledge in innovative ways. I look forward to more opportunities like this in the future, where I can challenge myself and meet new people to share our passion for mathematics with!

The evening will be conducted in an informal setting to encourage open conversations, which will inspire and enlighten students about various career opportunities and pathways. Alumnae in attendance tonight come from a variety of fields including Science and Technology, Engineering, Health, Humanities, Creative Arts, Education, Business, Law and Media and Communications.

Not only is it a fantastic opportunity to chat to alumnae about their real-life experience but a great chance for students to network with other Unstoppable Girls.

I encourage all Year 9 – 12 students and parents to come along to this enriching event which has proven to be very beneficial to our students in the past.

I look forward to welcoming many of you there tonight and sharing an insightful evening with our inspiring alumnae.
